Who We Are
Bright Minds Academy caters for an environment that is nurturing, motivating, adaptable and safe so that your child can be encouraged and supported in their growth and development.
We understand that your child is your most precious asset!
Bright Minds Academy is a privately owned, family run children’s centre and we pride ourselves on partnerships with families.
We believe that the first five years of life are paramount and the most influential to extending and enriching children’s development and education. Early childhood is a period of intense learning and growing.
Based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), we believe in the importance of “All Children have the best start in life to create a better future for themselves and the Nation”.
At Bright Minds Academy we aim to provide excellence in early childhood education. We pride ourselves on providing children with a safe environment where they feel welcomed and nurtured. We aim to provide stimulating, age appropriate experiences for all children.
At Bright Minds Academy we believe in order to provide high quality care we must also provide highly qualified, passionate educators! Educators have a very important role in the care environment, not only in supporting families, but also educating, caring and protecting the children in our care.
At Bright Minds Academy we pride ourselves on our highly qualified team of educators, each dedicated to providing children with the best start in life through education, care and play. Each of our educators hold or are actively working toward a formal qualification and have been hand selected by our management team. All of our educators are continuously supported in their ongoing professional growth as Early Childhood Educators.
Our educators will take the time to get to know your child – their interests, personalities and developmental level – and collaborate with families to strengthen the connections between home and the care environment.
"We gave Addy’s daycare her notice this week. Her last day will be on the 16/4. It’s time for full time BIG SCHOOL!
We want to thank everyone at BMA. It was the perfect place for Addy. As many of you will remember, from when we first started, Adeline was told she would never sit up and definitely never walk. Now we receive amazing videos of her dancing away on your stage, having the time of her life. She has come so far. Your team, the other students (especially Brodie) and the amazing environment you have created, has played a key role in all she has achieved. We are truly grateful for the support you gave her, and us as a family. Isabelle and Xander thrive in your centre also, being the sibling of a child with complex needs is a challenge within itself. We don’t want to make any changes to their schedule, but we do want to thank you for understanding them and supporting them."
"Lauren the centre director and all the staff are more than happy to answer my questions and once the boys commenced at the centre it was very reassuring to pick them up on their first day smiling and excited to return. My boys are always involved in engaging learning tasks that they can't wait to talk about when they get home."
– Megan Robinson
"The curriculum at Bright Minds Academy is outstanding. We receive updates regularly, including pictures & stories, on play activities, milestones & emerging skills via the programming app. Wherever I am I can see what my boys have enjoyed doing throughout the day."
– Amanda & Danielle
"We go to work each day at ease knowing they are loved, cared for and learning. We could never send them anywhere else."
"I am so grateful that my children have had the opportunity to learn and develop in such a caring and supportive environment. Through both structured and free play, the staff have encouraged my children’s early learning."
– Jasmine Grantham
I am writing to you to give you feedback on our son’s time attending Bright Minds in Belconnen. I cannot thank you and your wonderful team enough. Our son has settled in so beautifully and incredibly happy to attend daycare – even asking to attend on his days off! As working parents, it can be so difficult to leave your child but your team has made this process very easy.
Every single educator has been very welcoming and nurturing towards Ajit. As I mentioned to you in person, he is not a fan of eating – but your lovely educators go above and beyond to ensure he is getting enough food and even a nutritious range of food.
I was a bit nervous to request a recipe from your chef, Matt, but he happily shared it with all the parents on kinderloop so that I can continue to encourage my son’s healthy food habits.
It is such a joy to see the happy smiling faces of both educators and children at drop off and pick up times.
I also know I do not speak for just myself. One of our friends commenced care in your centre recently and they have had nothing but positive reviews. My husband’s work colleague will commence care for their daughter soon and we know how excited they are. I also met another family at a weekend childrens sport event today – the parents did not know each other but our sons recognised each other. The parents mentioned to me just how comfortable they are at BMA – as their son had been very upset at drop offs at another service – and has been all smiles even on his first week at your service.
Please accept my sincere gratitude to you Belle, your assistant director Karen, and to the best team of educators.
Kind regards, Avleen H
