Bright Minds Academy Curriculum
The Early Learning Program
At Bright Minds Academy, our Early Learning Program is deeply rooted in the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and follows a play-based, emergent curriculum that supports each child’s unique learning journey.
We proudly see ourselves as a “Preschool with Extended Hours”, providing families with the flexibility they need while delivering the structure and depth of a high-quality early education program.
School Readiness, Every Step of the Way
Our School Readiness Programs are thoughtfully designed and delivered across all age groups. These programs evolve as children grow, helping them build the foundational skills needed for a confident and successful transition to formal schooling.
Through age-appropriate experiences, we nurture essential skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, self-help, and emotional regulation.

Our Learning Focus
The Bright Minds Curriculum encompasses a wide range of developmental domains to provide a rich, balanced educational experience:
- Literacy & Language: storytelling, communication, and early reading skills
- Numeracy & Problem Solving: counting, measuring, exploring patterns
- Creative Arts & Expression: painting, sculpting, dramatic play, and performing arts
- Science & Technology: exploring nature, experimenting, and digital engagement
- Music & Movement: rhythm, dance, and coordination
- Social Justice & Diversity: understanding empathy, inclusion, and fairness
- Nutrition & Physical Development: promoting healthy habits and gross motor skills
- Environmental Responsibility: connecting with nature and sustainable practices
Child-Led, Educator-Guided
Our programs are built on the voices of children, families and the community. We combine intentional teaching with spontaneous play, allowing children to explore their interests while achieving developmental milestones.
Children at Bright Minds Academy are encouraged to:
- Explore and experiment
- Problem-solve and investigate
- Collaborate with peers and educators
- Express themselves through a variety of mediums – from painting and clay to pretend play and conversation
Growing Together
We recognise that emotional and social growth is just as important as academic skills. Our program supports children as they develop autonomy, empathy, and resilience. Through guided interactions and real-world experiences, children learn to navigate challenges, build friendships, and understand the perspectives of others.
